At Wield, we believe privacy is a fundamental right. We designed our extension to collect the absolute minimum amount of data necessary to function. We do not want your personal information, and we do not sell data.
When you use the Wield extension, we collect:

The specific URL you ask us to analyze. When you are on a product page and Wield analyzes it, we receive that URL to determine the brand. We do NOT track your general browsing history.

Your saved values weights. We store your preferences (e.g., 30% labor, 20% environment) so we can calculate personalized scores.

An anonymous install ID. A random string generated when you install the extension, used solely to link your preferences to your browser session.

4. How to Delete Your Data
You're in full control. Uninstalling the Wield extension revokes your install token, after which your anonymous profile is orphaned and eventually purged.

The Wield extension is provided to you free of charge. We may introduce premium features later, but the core values-scoring functionality will remain accessible.

Wield provides recommendations based on available sustainability data. We do not guarantee the absolute accuracy of third-party brand information and are not liable for decisions made based on extension suggestions.
