WIELD started with a dress. In 2018, eight months pregnant, I spent hours trying to find one thing to wear to an environmental nonprofit’s gala that I could feel good about.
I work in the environmental movement, and it was still that hard. I kept thinking: if it’s this hard for me, it’s hard for everyone.
So I’ve been building the shortcut. WIELD is a Chrome extension that reveals the hidden facts about a piece, right on the product page, and points you to better options, so you can shop with confidence. It isn’t out yet. I’m testing it on real product pages now with a small first group.
